ABSTRACT
The main aim of this research was to find an
effective method to provide geographical information about the land suitability
of palm oil plantation. The
web mapping is created by using Google Maps to display an interactive map in
the Kampar region. Since AJAX technology is used to build Google Maps, it also
will be used in the development of this web application. As
a result from this application, the information is presented in the form of
layers consisting of numerous different colours, where each colour represents a
particular range of value. Moreover, a legend is displayed to explain briefly a
range of values of each colour. They can interact with the map by
clicking on the map to get the information of land characteristic on particular
area.
