Electric energy is important
for human life. The availability of sufficient electricity, inexpensive, and
environmentally friendly certainly be an interesting thing to study. In this
study, we tried to apply the concept as above. This research was done by using
old items around us. It was using computer CPU fan and a magnet, assembly both
of them and then produce a prototype instrument that was expected to generate
electricity independently. The electricity that generated will be expected to give
voltagefor small lamp that was used as a load of this isntrument. This research
focuses on CPU fan rotation settings that will be used as a generator. Rotation
of the CPU fan was produced by positioning the magnet in eachshaft of the fan so
that the CPU fan can spin like a generator when the other magnet brought near .When
it was applied this research, CPU fan could not rotate because tensile and
thrust of the magnet which occurred on a prototype tool causes the fan was not
rotate and interlocking. This was because one side of the magnet will be
pushing and the other side would be pulled each other.
