ABSTRACT
The palm oil industry other than theprimary products such as
CPO, alsoproduces
solid waste (biomass) in large quantities. Biomass of palm is one type
of renewable energy that can be utilized for power generation PLTBS
(Biomass Power Plant Oil). EFB has great energy potential as fuel for electricity
generators. TKKS energy potential can be seen from the value of thermal energy
(calorific value) is 18.795 kJ / kg TKKS. Calorific value (heating
value) of dry EFB is 18.8 MJ / kg, the energy conversion efficiency of 25%, of
the energy equivalent of 2.3 MWe. The results of calculation of all financial
criteria is obtainedNPV value of Rp. 65.582.439, IRR 15%, and PBP 4.98 years and thus it processing oil palm biomass to electrical energy isfeasible.
