ABSTRACT
Desa Sei Jernih is one of the villages are located in Kabupaten Kampar exactly in Kecamatan Bangkinang Seberang. The oil palm farmers in Desa Sei Jenih had problems with equipment used in managing oil palm gardens especially in the process of palm oil harvesting. Palm oil farmers in Desa Sei Jernih still using conventional equipment like dodos or egrek in palm oil harvesting. Palm oil harvesting process using dodos or egrek would drain energy and takes a long time. To solve the problem, implemented IbM activities with the topic of the application of the palm oil harvesting machine to the palm oil farmers. Palm oil harvesting machines was designed specifically using motor to move the cutter with the translation movement. This machines was designed by adding the gear box on a lawn mower to transmission system. With the gear boxes, movement of rotation at lawn mower would be converted into movement of translation so that the cutter can cut easily
